Flattering when you get the question of arent you giving a presentation this time??? I was waiting for that since you are such an excellent speaker. I’m happy!
Have been at DLM Forum and its always really useful to hear what others are doing in records managment and to get the latest update of the EARK project.
DOCUMENTS before you start saying there are no explanations!!
The common specifications in swedish are found here: FGS
Turn to the source instead of to the oracle.
Its that simple to get to know what the fact are regarding the FGS’es and not get guesses and personal thoughts about the work.
Yesterday we had the first governsnce board for the swedish common specification. We have a manage to put togethet a really dedicated group of people from all sectors, municipality, agencies and health agencies which will help guide us in decision making. This is good!
Its hard to understand the concept of denominators and that a specification working for all sectors cant have even optional fields for just one sector, then all sectors needs to have their optional fields added. Dööö that specification will not be manage by me.
This is the reason why you have to do a project deciding what you want to add and what you want to change from optional to mandatory.
How hard can it be?
That is the key words when you are using the sedish common specifications, FGS. No matter who you are since they are built on the denominators all needs to do the implementation project!
after iPres 2015 which took place in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, US. IPres is a conference focused on digital preservation and is arrange every year and moves around the world so it create oppertunites for all to be there when its in your reach. My only thing against it is the lack of attendeces from the archives which has the same problems.
So one fruitfull week done and notes to write.
